Tuesday, January 6th will here before you know it. With the Christmas/New Years 2 week hole of productivity approaching, now is a good time to draft teams for your Fantasy League. Here is a guide to drafting for The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2 (BOTE2).
The premiere of The Challenge is a little over 3 weeks away, but with the holidays and their ability to swallow people away from the world, January 6th will be here soon.
If you are planning a league, you should probably draft as soon as possible.
This season, I will be administering 2 leagues. For our Original Classic league, there will be 8 participants, and each participants will draft 3 cast members for their fantasy team (since there are 26 contestants on the show), with 2 cast members going undrafted.
For Super Awesome New League (now in its not as new 2nd season), there will be 6 participants, and each participants will draft 4 cast members for their fantasy team (since there are 26 contestants on the show), with 2 cast members going undrafted.
If your group has more participants or fewer, you can make it work. You can either leave contestants undrafted or allow more than one participant to draft the same contestant.
Our suggestion is to get your group organized and then have someone enter all the participant and/or team names in the List Randomizer at Random.org in order to determine a draft order. Over email (or Google hangout or whatever you like to use), your league can participate in a snake draft (where the positions flip flop every round, so if someone drafts first during the very first round, they’ll draft last the following round, then they’ll draft first again in the next round) by replying to all with their pick, and then the next person on the draft order list chooses, sharing their choice in a reply-all email, and so on.
It’s important to set a reasonable time range for the draft, so that no one at the end of the draft may be in an advantageous position by being privy to newly released challenge information.
With this cast featuring contestants from MTV’s Are You The One?, you may want to read and/or watch episodes of the show (on YouTube) to scout players.
Good luck and have fun!!!
