The Challenge Vendettas – Some of the Cast – Finale Reunion Part 1

I hate this two-part reunion/finale format. I watched the season. I don’t need any recap stuff. Every argument is a dumb quibble. Every answer is the cast member asserting themselves in their prime “character” form… like Cara Maria whining that it’s hard, Nicole Z. being the shadiest ex-girlfriend in existence, Marie being sassy and Bananas being an egotistic blowhard.

The reunion just shouldn’t be two episodes/hours. There are some interesting tidbits, but it drags and we want to know who won.

Instead, the whole thing is basically a bunch of stray observations on the the season and/or their status.

The Challenge Vendettas – Jemmye & Nicole Z. Make Out – Finale Reunion Part 1

• Tony says he regrets voting Leroy in? Does he? That’s the last thing said in their conversation and the only thing I wanted to hear more about from Tony.
• Marie and Britni are Twitter enemies and I feel dumber for having read their stupid social media beef read to me by the Miz.
• Yes, Britni and Brad are still together.
• Disturbing injury summary, in case you forgot about the jumping from one car to another challenge. It really showed that MTV is a dangerous sport. After that one, Leroy was legit knocked out and in the hospital for two days. Veronica’s finger snapped off in an elimination. Derrick looked like he was in Fight Club from his mercenaries appearance against Joss. Cara Maria needed stitches after hitting her chin on the floor at the bar while trying to do the worm.
• Nicole Z. says she hooked up with Jemmye and footage is shown of them making out. Come on, MTV. Show this during the season so we can get fantasy points for it. Oh, and Nicole Z. thinks she a pimp.
• Nelson is still mad at Kayleigh, who fights with Jemmye about this high school drama.
• Melissa is single now that she cheated on her boyfriend with Nicole Z. on the show.
• They actually spent time showing us Bananas’s stupid notes plot. The girls acted like it worked in creating animosity between people like Marie and Britni, but Veronica just thinks it’s annoying and lame, because it is.
• Nicole Z. acts like she could beat Cara Maria in a final, to which Cara Maria states that Nicole Z. could not because finals involve puzzles and Nicole Z. is an idiot.

As Mix rightly pointed out, there’s a very Jerry Springier vibe to these reunions. “Ooohs and ahhs from the audience,” and smack talk.

What can we do to get MTV to stop with this two-part reunion/finale thing? Do any of you like this? I’m curious as to how or why.
