We return to Redemption House drama. Kayleigh welcomes Nelson to the house by asking him if he’s been snuggling with Natalie.
Season 32 – Episode 18
Title: It’s Always Sunny in South Africa
Nelson and Bananas fight (10 points each) about if Nelson was acting inappropriately with Natalie or if Bananas is just being a manipulator. Nelson is offended that Kayleigh will even consider Bananas’s gossip over his word. Meanwhile, Bananas is thrilled that the team that “orchestrated” their exit, got purged to the Redemption House so quickly.
Bananas yells out the window to a smoking Shane and they fight (10 points each).
Nelson asks Kayleigh to decide between believing pot-stirrer Bananas or him. She decides to believe him and they go inside together.
Inside Nelson, Tony & Bananas puff their chest and fight about who is better (10 points each).
At the Double Cross, T.J. says that there will be a doubleheader in Armageddon. Brad & Kyle pull the double-cross, so they will get to choose who they go against. They opt for Kam & Kayleigh, which leaves Bananas & Tony to play Shane & Nelson.
Brad & Kyle will play Kam & Kayleigh in an elimination game called I Got You Pegged.
The teams will compete on opposite sides of a climbing wall. Each team’s climbing wall has red and blue pegs with numbers at the bottom of the wall. One team member will be the climber, the other will give the pegs to the climber. The sum of the numbers going into the wall must equal 32. The red pegs are subtraction and the blue are addition. Each team must have 16 pegs in their wall. Yay math!
Bananas & Tony will play Shane & Nelson in a different game.
Brad is the climber and his strategy is to throw numbers in. Kayleigh is the climber on the other side, and Kam is holding off on sending her to do work until she figures out the math. Opposite strategies on opposite sides of the wall.
Brad is trying to do math as he climbs, with Kyle counting along behind him. Kam organizes everything and then sends Kayleigh to put it all in. Brad hits the bell first, but his numbers don’t add up. Kam & Kayleigh win (25 points each).
Next the guys will play King of the Ring. It’s an old-fashioned ring with a battering ram in the middle. Best 3 out of 5 wins. Brute force on display!
Bananas & Tony get Shane & Nelson to the ropes first, and manage to do it again quickly next round. Shane & Nelson have an uphill battle now. They put up a fight, but the mass of Bananas & Tony is just too much for Shane & Nelson. Bananas & Tony win (25 points each).
The next regular Challenge is Rolling Thunder.
Each team gets a boulder they have to roll to the finish line. In the middle is a ditch that T.J. calls a “no-go” zone. So yeah, it’s a race with one obstacle. Last place team is eliminated.
Paulie & Natalie won the last challenge, and as a reward, they get a 10-second lead. By the time they reach the ditch, the lead is gone. Bananas & Tony go left, taking the longer, but easier way. Everyone else goes right for the more straight-forward route. It’s crowded, though. Kam & Kayleigh are at the back of the line, so they change their plans and go left, behind where Bananas & Tony went.
Sylvia talks about how she can’t give up because her mother, who had Sylvia when she was young, didn’t give up. She cries in the confessional (10 points).
Kam & Kayleigh get their boulder stuck in the ditch. Cara Maria & Marie are behind, too.
Joss & Sylvia pass Bananas & Tony and win (15 points). Paulie & Natalie finish next, then Bananas & Tony, followed by Hunter & Smashley. Cara Maria & Marie come in an important second-to-last, saving themselves. Kam & Kayleigh finish in good spirits. They gave it their best and they finished together.
- Two eliminations and a challenge! The end is actually near. They may only be one or two episodes left!!! LOL – it’s probably a two episode final and a three episode reunion.
- Kam & Kayleigh leave happy partners. Thanks, Kailah and Melissa for making that match happen!
- Brad may be a math teacher, but he tried to do too much. Doing the math and the climbing was not a good strategy. Also, did Kyle say Brad was an accountant, too?
- As seen in the Twitter link below, Tony makes it seem like the boulders were different weights for different teams. That actually makes sense, otherwise Bananas & Tony would have quite the advantage.
Stuff on Twitter
- Tony insinuates that there’s an equalizer in the Rolling Thunder challenge.
- Sylvia is proud she never saw the Redemption House.
