The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies – Episodes 15, 16 & 17 – Pre-Finale

It’s almost time for the finale!

Quick look at the last three episodes….

Episode #15 had Sapphire Team win the Boom Raiders challenge (10 points each for Emy, Logan & CT – plus 5 each for being the Agency).

Kyle was the choice of the Agency because of his shameless gameplay, but it worked in his favor, because in the elimination lair he rightly called out Josh and beat Josh (25 points for elimination win) at the Burning Bridges game.

Josh’s elimination caused him to cry (10 points). Tori also cried (10 points).

In Episode 16 the teams cells had to load a million dollars into a car. The team with the most players had a huge advantage and capitalized on it with yet another win. Emerald Cell (aka Green Team) won (10 points each + 5 agency for Devin, Emmanuel, Amanda, Nany & Kaycee). Not only has this team yielded a ton of fantasy points from their wins, but in this episode they each got another 20 points for not one, but two “you killed it” call outs from host T.J.

Perhaps struck with some sort of Survivor’s Guilt for staying even after Amanda beat her in the elimination in Episode 14 (after Smashley was removed from the house for… reasons), Big T volunteered to go into the elimination. With her only available opponent choices being Emy or fellow veteran Tori, Big T chose star rookie Emy to go against in the License to Chill ice bath challenge.

Rookie Emy from Romania

Emy won (25 points). This was her 4th elimination win of the season – 3rd solo win (first was a pair elimination with Ed).

Ep 16 – Scores

Last week’s Episode 17 featured challenge Dead Drop, a heights over water obstacle course where opponents can swing weights at you. No longer on the same team, rookie Logan and most veteran of the cast CT “killed it” (10 points each). CT’s stellar performance led to victory for the Sapphire Cell (10 + 5 points for CT, Kyle & Emy).

Victorious Sapphire Cell after Dead Drop Challenge

CT was frustrated in the Agency deliberation as no one really gave him anything to work with. Nelson could have at least said he would choose to go against Devin and then infuriate Sapphire, which may have helped him stay in the clear, but he didn’t need it. CT hoped to put in Emmanuel, the rookie had not yet been in an elimination, but the remainder of his team voted for Logan.

Unaware of what the rockets, levers and clocks in front of him at the elimination lair meant, Logan chose to go against Emmanuel. The elimination challenge of running sprints over the rocket, to the lever and back in under 15, and then under 10 seconds, was quite interesting. It’s a real shame MTV and this show’s poor editing didn’t show us how many times they ran back and forth. But it was Logan who ran out of gas first. Emmanual won (25 points), even though Logan would have easily beaten Devin, and likely could have been victorious over bulkier Kyle or Nelson.

In tremendous news, we learned that we’re finally at the final! But since there are still too many people, there will be a mini-purge, where one female and one male will be eliminated. Looking forward to that tomorrow, although it was spoiled for me on Wikipedia! Ugh.
